  • WHAT HAPPENED?

According to GIVEMESPORT,the defensive midfielder might leave the Red Devils midway through the current campaign to join the Riyadh-based club. The move is being spearheaded by the league's sporting director, Michael Emenalo, who is determined to add the Brazilian’s "world-class" talent to Al-Nassr’s star-studded squad and make him one of the Saudi Pro League's highest earners.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Casemiro joined Manchester United in August 2022 for a substantial £70 million ($88m) transfer fee from Real Madrid. However, uncertainty about his long-term future under current manager Ruben Amorim has fueled speculation about a potential departure. The Brazilian international’s current contract with United, which includes lucrative bonuses, allows him to earn approximately £450,000 per week. However, with only 18 months remaining on his deal, his market value has diminished and Manchester United are reportedly willing to accept a fee in the region of £25 million ($31.25m) if they decide to offload him in January.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

While GIVEMESPORT sources suggest Casemiro is more likely to leave Manchester United at the end of the current season, Al-Nassr appears eager to expedite negotiations as the Saudi outfit aims to secure the midfielder before the February 3 transfer window deadline. Although no official discussions have taken place between the clubs, Al-Nassr’s management is confident that their lucrative proposal can turn Casemiro’s head and bring him to Al-Awwal Park before this window slams shut.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CASEMIRO?

For Casemiro, a move to Al-Nassr presents the unique opportunity to reunite with Ronaldo, with whom he shared immense success at Real Madrid. Together, they won numerous titles, including four Champions League trophies, making the prospect of teaming up once again an enticing proposition. As the winter transfer window approaches its final weeks, all eyes will be on whether the Brazilian will accept the lucrative offer and bid farewell to Old Trafford.
