Bundesliga top scorers 2024-25: Harry Kane wins Torjägerkanone for second year running

Bayern Munich may have relinquished their Bundesliga crown last season, but Harry Kane and company wasted no time restoring order at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarian giants stormed back to the summit in the 2024-25 campaign, reclaiming their throne atop the German top flight. Leading the charge once again was Kane, who lit up the league with another sensational season in front of goal, earning his second straight Torjägerkanone as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer.

Trailing the England skipper were Patrik Schick of Bayer Leverkusen and Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, both netting 21 goals apiece. Jonathan Burkardt chipped in 18 for Mainz, while Tim Kleindienst of Gladbach rounded out the top five with 16 goals to his name.

GOAL brings you a fully updated rundown of the leading scorers in the Bundesliga across the 2024-25 season.

    1Harry Kane | Bayern Munich | 26 goals

Harry Kane didn't just run away with the Bundesliga Golden Boot again — he added silverware to the mix this time.

After topping the scoring charts with ease last term, the England striker repeated the feat this season, but with a major trophy now in his back pocket. With the Bundesliga campaign officially wrapped up, Kane ends the year with a final haul of 26 goals — a mark of his ruthless consistency in front of goal.

    2Patrik Schick | Bayer Leverkusen | 21 goals

Even with just 19 starts in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen, Patrik Schick has more than pulled his weight.

The Czech frontman has been razor-sharp in front of goal, finding the net every 80.3 minutes and smashing his expected goals tally by a whopping 8.3. Call it what you want — clinical, lethal, or simply top-tier — he's proving he's the real deal up top.

  • Serhou Guirassy Dortmund 2024Getty Images

    3Serhou Guirassy | Borussia Dortmund | 21 goals

Serhou Guirassy may have had a slow burn to life at Borussia Dortmund, but once he found his rhythm, the goals started flowing. The powerful forward wrapped up his Bundesliga campaign with 21 goals — a tally that included a stunning four-goal blitz against Union Berlin and six in his final five league appearances. Add to that an impressive 13 goals in the Champions League, and Guirassy’s status as one of Germany’s deadliest strikers is beyond doubt.

  • FC St. Pauli 1910 v 1. FSV Mainz 05 - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    4Jonathan Burkardt | Mainz | 18 goals

The Mainz skipper has scripted a superb comeback tale. Once seen as one of Germany's most promising young No. 9s, his career was derailed by a serious knee injury in 2022-23. It took nearly a year on the sidelines, but Burkardt returned stronger than ever. With Bo Henriksen's arrival breathing new life into Mainz, Burkardt hit his stride.

He notched 18 league goals this season, leading from the front with decisive doubles against Augsburg and Hoffenheim, and a crucial winner at Leipzig — the goal that ultimately sealed Mainz's ticket to the UEFA Conference League.

  • VfL Bochum 1848 v Borussia Mönchengladbach - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    5Tim Kleindienst | Borussia Monchengladbach | 16 goals

Tim Kleindienst might've taken the scenic route to the top, but the former Heidenheim frontman is making up for lost time. After banging in 12 goals during Heidenheim’s debut Bundesliga campaign, he earned a well-deserved move to Borussia Mönchengladbach — and hasn't looked out of place one bit at Borussia-Park. That blistering form also catapulted him into the Germany squad last October, and he’s wasted no time, scoring four goals in just six international outings. Not bad for a so-called late bloomer.

  • Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt reactsGetty Images

    6Omar Marmoush | Eintracht Frankfurt | 15 goals

Omar Marmoush has gone from promising to prolific. The Eintracht Frankfurt attacker showed flashes last season with a 12-goal haul, but this year he’s kicked on in style.

The Egyptian was red-hot in the first half of the campaign, scoring in 11 of the first 17 league matches. His standout moment? A jaw-dropping display against Bayern Munich where he notched two goals — including a dramatic late leveller — and laid on another in a thrilling 3-3 draw, which was enough for Man City to pull the trigger on his release clause to take him to England mid-season.

  • Hugo Ekitike Eintracht Frankfurt 2024Getty Images

    7Hugo Ekitike | Frankfurt | 15 goals

The lanky Frenchman has truly hit his stride since swapping PSG for Frankfurt in January 2024. Despite his towering 6ft2in frame, Ekitiké moves like a winger and links play with ease. He's clicked brilliantly with Marmoush up top and has grown more clinical as the season’s gone on — regularly getting on the scoresheet and even turning provider when needed. A quietly lethal addition to Frankfurt’s forward line.

    8 Ermedin Demirovic | Stuttgart | 15 goals

Ermedin Demirovic stepped into big shoes at Stuttgart following Serhou Guirassy's departure, and while it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, the Bosnian hitman has largely delivered. Fresh off a stellar stint with Augsburg, he came out firing with five goals in his first six Bundesliga appearances. Though his scoring touch cooled off in the middle of the campaign, he still wrapped up the season with a solid 15-goal haul.

The standout moment? A sensational hat-trick in a 4-0 demolition of Bochum on Matchday 28 — a timely reminder of just how dangerous he can be when he’s in the mood.

  • RB Leipzig v SV Werder Bremen - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    9Benjamin Sesko | RB Leipzig | 13 goals

Blistering speed to exploit space, dominance in the air, and a clinical finishing touch – it's no exaggeration to say that Benjamin Sesko is among the most sought-after talents in European football. Standing tall at 6ft 5in, he commands attention in the attacking third, combining imposing physicality with exceptional athleticism.

  • Jamal Musiala 2024-25Getty/GOAL

    10Jamal Musiala | Bayern Munich | 12 goals

Jamal Musiala has firmly established himself as a standout talent within Bayern's ranks and will aim to continue delivering crucial goals for the team throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

With Harry Kane leading the line, Musiala’s main task will be to provide opportunities for the star striker. However, the versatile midfielder is more than capable of leaving his mark on the scoresheet as well.

  • Andrej Kramaric TSG Hoffenheimgetty images

    11Andrej Kramaric | Hoffenheim | 11 goals

Andrej Kramaric scored 15 goals last season and will be competing this season to surpass that tally.

He has gotten off to a good start and will be eyeing the 20-goal mark this season.

  • Holstein Kiel v Borussia Mönchengladbach - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    12Alassane Plea | Borussia Mönchengladbach | 11 goals

Alassane Pléa has been a real thorn in the side of defenders all season, with his sharp movement, clever link-up play, and knack for finding pockets of space causing constant headaches. Hitting double figures in goals, his ruthless efficiency in front of goal has been nothing short of outstanding, firmly cementing his role as a driving force behind Gladbach's European push.

    13Leroy Sane | Bayern Munich | 11 goals

Former Man City winger Leroy Sane has been in good form for Bayern Munich this season with 11 goals in 28 Bundesliga matches. Talks over a new deal at the Allianz Arena have reportedly broken down and the Germany international is on radar of some of the biggest European clubs.

  • FC Bayern München v GNK Dinamo - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD1Getty Images Sport

    14Michael Olise | Bayern Munich | 11 goals

Since joining Bayern Munich, Olise has been absolutely dazzling, consistently racking up goals and assists. His rapid adaptation to Vincent Kompany's lineup has been so impressive that it has even sidelined Leroy Sane from the starting eleven—a clear reflection of the Frenchman’s talent and relentless drive.

  • VfL Wolfsburg v Borussia Mönchengladbach - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    15Mohamed Amoura | Wolfsburg | 10 goals

Wolfsburg fended off competition from Arsenal to sign Mohamed Amoura from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer, according to kicker, and now the Algerian attacker is excelling in the Bundesliga.

  • Florian WirtzGetty

    16Florian Wirtz | Bayer Leverkusen | 9 goals

Florian Wirtz is navigating against the grain as a central playmaker stationed just behind the striker. Few can rival the 21-year-old's ability to maneuver through congested areas with such poise. Unlike his predecessors, who often drifted away from the space between the lines to dictate play, Wirtz thrives precisely in that zone. From there, he orchestrates the tempo of the game, even with limited time on the ball.

What sets Wirtz apart is his knack for breaking through opposition presses, enabling him to deliver incisive passes into the most dangerous areas with remarkable consistency. He often releases a teammate into space with precision, whether it's a pinpoint through-ball slicing through the defense or a well-timed cutback near the penalty area. His link-up play, ability to beat a man and eye for a pass and goal mean the Pulheim native is a huge attacking weapon regardless of where he plays.

  • 17Alexis Claude-Maurice | FC Augsburg | 9 goals

Last season, Claude-Maurice made 18 appearances for Nice in Ligue 1, yet the French midfielder managed just 495 minutes on the pitch for the club. However, his fortunes have taken a positive turn at Augsburg, where he has consistently contributed with crucial goals.

  • Lois Openda RB Leipzig Manchester City 2023-24 Champions LeagueGetty

    18Lois Openda | RB Leipzig | 9 goals

Lois Openda was third in the list of Bundesliga top scorers last season with 24 goals to his name. The Belgian striker will be hoping to keep up that form in the 2024-25 season.

  • Deniz Undav of VfB Stuttgart celebrates scoring Getty Images

    19Deniz Undav | Stuttgart | 8 goals

Deniz Undav has emerged as a key player for VfB Stuttgart, showcasing his scoring prowess since joining the club. After a successful loan spell in the 2022/23 season, where he netted 19 goals in 33 appearances for Stuttgart, he returned on a permanent deal, and his form has continued to impress.

  • VfL Bochum 1848 v SV Werder Bremen - BundesligaGetty Images Sport

    20Jens Stage | Werder Bremen | 7 goals

Werder Bremen midifelder Jens Stage has never been known as a prolific goalscorer, but he just can't stop scoring this season. That's despite being making limited appearance through injury and not playing in a particularly attacking role.

  • 21Victor Boniface | Bayer Leverkusen | 7 goals

Like his teammate Wirtz, Victor Boniface is also expected to play a key role in the final third for defending champions Bayer Leverkusen this season.
