Back to England for Christian Pulisic? USMNT star ‘especially popular in the Premier League’ as AC Milan seek to fend off unwelcome transfer talk

United States international Pulisic bid farewell to English football when severing ties with Chelsea as a history-making Champions League winner in the summer of 2023. At that point, an Italian job was embraced.

The 26-year-old forward has thrived at San Siro, posting personal bests on the goal front - hitting 17 in the current campaign - while becoming a talismanic figure for the Rossoneri as they look to him for inspiration.

A first major trophy with Milan has already been secured, while Sergio Conceicao’s side will be gracing the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday as they seek to secure European qualification for 2025-26. It remains to be seen whether Pulisic will still be on board next season.

There has been talk of the American extending his contract for a further 12 months, through to 2028, while landing a well deserved pay rise. Reports of interest from afar do, however, refuse to go away.

Milan are aware of those, with DAZN reporting that Pulisic is “especially popular in the Premier League” and “wants to know Milan's plans for next season” before making a definitive decision on his future.
