adidasEarly details of Aston Villa’s 2026-27 kits have begun to surface, with adidas taking some bold, highly retro directions for Villa’s upcoming campaign.

adidasAston Villa's new home kit for the 2026-27 season honours the club’s more unconventional claret and blue designs, which originated in the 1960s. Inspired by the kits from the archive from the 1960s to 2010s, the new design offers a clean and elegant look, creating a departure from the raglan-sleeved home kits that Villa have donned in the modern era, usually finished with gold detailing.
The launch of the kit is accompanied by a short film that is inspired by the kit design, based on an iconic 60s Pathe style documentary format, instantly recognisable by its traditional voiceover, fast-paced structure and styling. The film captures the positive energy around the club, focusing on the players getting ready ahead of the next season at the training ground, featuring first team players, manager Unai Emery and club legends, even appropriately nodding to past European glory.
The kit will be available to buy from Thursday, 28th May, with a starting price of the adult replica shirt from around £80 and the authentic player version from £110 upwards.
adidasAston Villa's 2026-27 away kit design is taking inspiration from the iconic gas lamps found around Villa Park. The all-black strip features a gas lamp motif, creating a subtle yet striking look for when the team travels on the road in the upcoming campaign. The adidas Originals’ trefoil logo and the brand’s three stripes appear in gold detailing, alongside a special badge that sees the Lion emblem and star for the club’s 1982 European Cup victory appear without the traditional shield.
The dark and light contrast between the Aston Villa away kit and third kit, which was in evidence this season, is reportedly going to remain in place.
The third kit is expected to have a white/very light blue base with a swirl pattern incorporated within it, which is inspired by the gates of Villa Park. It’s been suggested that the adidas Trefoil logo is going to be replaced by the three-striped ‘mountain’ version, which will sit uniquely above the coloured club crest in a centralised position.
We’re expecting a similar third kit release timeline to the away kit, so late July/early August and it is estimated to cost from £80 for the replica jersey and from £110 for the authentic version.
