Martial, who has only six months left on his existing contract at Old Trafford, is all set to leave the club in the ongoing January transfer window with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce interested in signing him, according to <a href="http://https//www.skysports.com/transfer-centre" target="_blank">Sky Sports</a>.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The report further claims that Fenerbahce have already submitted a bid worth £6.8 million (£8.6m) earlier in the week and are favourites to land the player. United officials are now discussing whether to extend the player's stay - who has six months left in his current contract - by one more season by <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-true-stance-on-offering-anthony-martial-and-raphael-varane-new-contracts/bltfa0a06bda679055e" target="_blank">triggering a clause in his deal</a> and then send him out on loan in the summer with an option of a permanent transfer in the future.

Since joining the Premier League giants from AS Monaco in 2015, the Frenchman has appeared in 317 matches across all competitions where he has scored 90 goals. In January 2022, he had a brief loan stint with Sevilla where he failed to impress and returned to his parent club ahead of the 2022/23 season.
