How to watch today's Arsenal vs Villarreal pre-season friendly game: Live stream, TV channel, and start time

After wrapping up their pre-season travels across Singapore and Hong Kong, Arsenal are back on home turf and gearing up to host Villarreal at the Emirates in their second-to-last warm-up clash before the new campaign kicks off.

Mikel Arteta's men will be eager to shake off the disappointment of a slender 1-0 loss to bitter rivals Tottenham, a result that put a slight dent in what had been a near-flawless summer featuring wins over both Newcastle United and AC Milan.

While the Gunners are still believed to be scouring the market for reinforcements at both ends of the pitch, their summer signings are already starting to settle in—and many are expected to feature on Wednesday night.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch, including TV channel, streaming details and more.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal have been handed a fitness boost ahead of their penultimate pre-season clash, with defenders Gabriel Magalhaes, Jurrien Timber, and Riccardo Calafiori all back in contention following their respective injury layoffs.

However, there are still concerns within the squad. Both Leandro Trossard and Kepa Arrizabalaga are under observation after picking up knocks during the recent loss to Spurs. Their availability will likely come down to a late fitness test.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined with an ACL injury sustained back in January. The Brazilian forward isn't expected to return until at least November.

Fans at the Emirates could catch a first glimpse of several fresh faces in red and white. Summer arrivals Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, and Arrizabalaga are all in line for their home debuts in what promises to be a lively pre-season encounter.

Villarreal team news

On the Villarreal side, a couple of familiar faces could return to haunt the Gunners. Former club-record signing Nicolas Pepe, who scored in Villarreal's latest friendly, is included in the travelling squad along with ex-Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez.

Interestingly, Thomas Partey will play no part for Arsenal, with the midfielder poised for a move to Villarreal. The Ghana international is currently facing serious legal charges, including multiple counts of rape and sexual assault. Should the deal go through swiftly, he could be eligible to suit up for the Yellow Submarine.
