VIDEO: Bizarre refereeing denies Bordeaux penalty

Friday's Ligue 1 game was surrounded by controversy, with this decision going against the home side despite mass protests

Bordeaux's 1-1 draw with Lyon on Friday evening was tainted by a number of questionable refereeing decisions, including one to card Malcom for simulation, despite being clattered by his opponent.

As the winger powered his way towards the Lyon goal, he slowed on his approach to the 18-yard box, before bursting past defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

The defender lunged at his opponent, bringing him down inside the Lyon penalty box, with the referee blowing his whistle immediately.

Rather than award the hosts a penalty, though, he booked the 20-year-old for diving, much to his disbelief.
