Tusker release squad for Caf CL duty

The Brewers have registered 26 players to take part in the 2017 Caf Champions League tournament

Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC have named a 26-man squad for their upcoming Caf Champions League competition.

Six of the players are new acquisitions, who were signed from various clubs in Kenya and across the borders.  They include defenders Vincent Omumbo, Marlon Tangauzi and Samuel Olwande plus midfielders Sydney Ochieng and Victor Ndinya.

Bryne Omondi, who returns from loan stint at National Super League side Agrochemicals, is also part of the squad to battle for space against fellow keepers Duncan Ochieng and David Okello. Brian Osumba, who was sidelined for the entire 2016 season, is part of the squad too as Allan Wanga, Clifford Alwanga, Stephen Owusu and Michael Khamati parade upfront.

They will start the campaign on Friday 11 against Mauritian Premier League giants AS Port-Louis 2000 at home.

Midfielders: Hashim Sempala, Cercidy Okeyo, Humphrey Mieno, Noah Wafula, Anthony Ndolo, Danson Kago, Jackson Macharia, Brian Osumba, Sydney Ochieng, Victor Ndinya.

Strikers: Allan Wanga, Clifford Alwanga, Stephen Owusu, Michael Khamati.
