Jose Mourinho is keen to bring the Croatia international midfielder to England as a partner for Paul Pogba, with the Barcelona star's place at Camp Nou under threat

Manchester United are eyeing a move for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to Don Balon.

The Croatia midfielder has become an integral part of Barca's starting XI in recent months and, along with Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets, has formed one part of the Camp Nou midfield trident.

However, the emergence of Denis Suarez has placed Rakitic's position under threat and Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen to partner him with Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

Thus the Portuguese is now weighing up an offer, with the 28-year-old's contract set to expire in 2019.
