RUMOURS: Everton hold talks for Manchester United duo

The Toffees look set to bolster their squad in January, with out of favour Red Devils players Memphis and Schneiderlin topping Ronald Koeman's wishlist

Everton have held talks with Manchester United over signing Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin, according to ESPN FC.

The duo have been down the pecking order at Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho took over, and the Toffees discussed the possibility of bringing both to Goodison Park before their 1-1 draw with United last weekend.

Neither player was included in Mourinho's squad for this week's Europa League clash with Zorya Luhansk, which could indicate that their days are numbered with the Red Devils.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman previously discussed the possibility of signing Depay, while Schneiderlin is now also a target, having played just 11 Premier League minutes this term.
