RUMOURS: Barcelona expect €50m bid from China for Arda Turan

Although the club do not particularly wish to sell the Turkey international, the big bid coming from Guangzhou Evergrande could force their hand

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan could join the steady stream of players departing for the Chinese Super League, according to Sport.

The 29-year-old has played 22 times for the Catalans this season, scoring 12 goals, but with the club seeking to raise money to allow Lionel Messi to sign a new contract, they could well buckle to a €50 million bid from the Far East, with Guangzhou Evergrande expected to launch such an offer.

Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the Turkey international will be offered an annual salary of €20m.

The club do not particularly want to allow the player to depart, but such a deal could prove too tempting for all parties.
