Having seen his side fall to a last-minute 1-0 defeat to T-Team in their Super League match on Wednesday, Selangor head coach Maniam Pachaiappan said after the match that the Red Giants were let down by their inability to convert their chances.

The match was goalless until the 89th minute, when Fauzi Abdul Kadar scored for the home side to condemn the visitors to their third league defeat of the season.

"Although throughout the match it was evident that we did not do well, what was positive was we managed to create a lot of chances.

"Only that our finishing needs to be worked on so that we can put away our chances," said Maniam as quoted by the Red Giants' official website.

According to him, the defeat happened due to his men's inability to control the game.

"In the first half, we were truly unable to play to our strengths. The players seemed a little fatigued even though they tried to give their best.

"But we failed to control the game and instead it was T-Team who were able to play better.

"In the second half we were able to respond and create a number of chances, but we failed to put them away. And at the end of the match it was T-Team who managed to score the winning goal," lamented Maniam in the post-match press conference after the match.
