Rojiblancos fans feared that it would be impossible to find a worthy replacement for Thibaut Courtois when the Belgium international returned to Chelsea in 2014 but in Oblak they are arguably now in possession of an even better goalkeeper. The Slovenian won the Ricardo Zamora award last season, after conceding just 18 goals in 38 games (equalling the Liga record), and also excelled during Atleti's run to the Champions League final, with his penalty save from Thomas Muller in the semis probably the highlight of his campaign.
