ATK, who were referred to as Atletico de Kolkata until the last season, are set to begin their preparations for the fourth season of the Indian Super League (ISL) from September 7.
The national team players will however join the squad on September 8, which will be after the Blue Tigers' third fixture of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Macau (away).
The players will have to undergo medicals when they arrive in Kolkata and following which the training programme schedule until the end of the month has been shared with the squad.
The team is expected to leave for Dubai in the second week of October for the final round of preparations for the ISL season four which is expected to kick-off in November 17. The ISL champions will play a host of friendly games in UAE in order to ensure that the team gets the best possible match practice ahead of the competition.
The Sanjiv Goenka-owned ISL franchise have Ashley Westwood, who successfully led Bengaluru FC to two I-League titles in three seasons, as their Sporting Director.
The club has roped in former Tottenham and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane as their marquee signing. Amongst the Indian players, they have retained Debjit Majumder and Prabir Das and in the draft, they have picked up the likes of Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Robin Singh, Ashutosh Mehta and Jayesh Rane among the prominent names.
