Leganes v Real Madrid Betting: Zidane's men can ease to victory despite Ronaldo and Bale missing out

For the first time in their history, Real Madrid make the short journey south for a league game at the Estadio Municipal Butarque.

Leganes' first-ever season in the top flight has brought them the chance to host their most illustrious neighbours and Los Pepineros' debut La Liga campaign has gone well so far.

The side sit a place and five points above the relegation zone, a position they would have dreamed of at the start of the season, yet coach Asier Garitano will know his side are far from safe. Leganes could potentially have been close to securing their top-flight status had they been able to finish more effectively, yet their total of 23 goals scored, the lowest in the division, is a testament to the problems they have had in the final third.

With Leganes having failed to score in seven of their 15 home matches this term, Madrid will know that one goal could be enough to secure victory and Paddy Power price the visitors at 3/10 (1.30) for the win. Leganes for their part are offered at 8/1 (9.00) with the draw available at 4/1 (5.00)

Los Blancos remain on a historic scoring run with Sunday's 3-0 win over Alaves the 50th consecutive competitive game in which they have found the back of the net. In 10 of their last 11 league games, Madrid have scored at least twice and a repeat is offered at just 4/11 (1.36), despite the fact they will be missing Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

However, if Leganes look unlikely to score and Madrid have a tendency to net at least twice then backing the visitors to win with a -1 handicap at 10/11 (1.91) looks like an excellent option.

Los Blancos have scored two or more goals in 11 of the 14 away games they have contested so far this season and if they can repeat that feat at Butarque then surely the will be able to win with a -1 handicap. This bet has paid out in six of Madrid's away games this season and against one of the division's weakest sides, it should have a good chance of doing so once more.
