Barcelona v Las Palmas Betting: A decent battle on the hosts' hands

The defending champions were involved in a thrilling Copa Del Rey tie on Wednesday evening as Barca ran out 4-3 aggregate winners against Athletic Bilbao, and the Camp Nou should see another decent game on Saturday afternoon.

It is a three hour flight from Las Palmas to the Catalan capital, yet the side from Gran Canaria have shown they can cause the best teams in the divisions problems on the road this season.

Quique Setien's men were 1-0 up at Sevilla only to concede two goals in the last two minutes, while at Atletico in La Liga they narrowly lost 1-0 before recording a 3-2 win at the Vicente Calderon on Tuesday night in the Copa.

This is a side that plays excellent football and one which has also caused Barca some headaches in the past, with the Catalans winning both of last season's meetings by a narrow 2-1 scoreline. Nevertheless, Barca remain overwhelming favorites at 1/11 (1.09) with Paddy Power while Las Palmas can be backed at 23/1 (24.00) and the draw is offered at 8/1 (9.00).

Yet the bet for this game is surely both teams to score at 10/11 (1.91) with Las Palmas showing they are more than capable of finding the back of the net. The Canary Islanders have netted in eight of their last 10 away games in La Liga, while the Blaugrana have only kept three clean sheets in their last 10 matches.

At the Camp Nou in the Primera Division, Barca have conceded in five of the eight games they have played, with those three home clean sheets coming against thirteenth placed Malaga, fifteenth placed Deportivo La Coruna, and second bottom Granada.

Eighth-placed Las Palmas have scored 27 league goals this season, and those goals have come from 10 different players, showing the strength in depth of the squad in terms of finding the back of the net.

They should be able to score at the Camp Nou as they did last season although Barca are likely to be too strong, meaning the price of 6/5 (2.20) for a home win and both teams to score looks to offer real value.
