GOAL rounds up all the completed Wrexham transfers in the 2024-25 season so far.

After spending 15 years trying to escape the quagmire of the National League, Wrexham's promotion to EFL League One marks the club's first back-to-back promotion in its 159-year history. This historic achievement saw the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned club end a 19-year hiatus and return to League One.

Throughout the League Two season, Wrexham consistently flirted with the possibility of climbing the English football pyramid. With their dream now realized, the Welsh club's Hollywood owners must brace for a more challenging season in the third tier of English football.

    Since Hollywood duo Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds bought the Red Dragons in February 2021, the club have not been shy about spending big to achieve success.

    They have already made a statement in the transfer market this summer, with seven senior signings and more on the way before deadline day.

    Arthur Okonkwo returned to Wrexham at the beginning of the transfer window, joining permanently from Arsenal.

    The goalkeeper has since been followed through the door by Lewis Brunt, Dann Scar, Callum Burton, Sebastian Revan, George Dobson, and more recently, Ollie Rathbone, with the 27-year-old putting pen to paper on a three-year deal to join the League One side from Rotherham for a club-record fee.

    The most notable other addition is that of Dobson, who left Charlton in the offseason. Birmingham were chasing after the former Addicks captain but were beaten by Wrexham. Brunt also penned a three-year deal to arrive from Leicester City for an undisclosed fee.

    The Red Dragons released eight players in May, with manager Phil Parkinson claiming that the releases were mainly to allow new players to come in.

    Aaron Hayden, Rob Lainton, Callum Mcfadzean, Ben Tozer, Jordan Tunnicliffe, Luke Young, Owen Cushion, Daniel Davies and Scott Butlet were all released and are free to take on a new adventure elsewhere.

    Jón Dadi Bödvarsson had signed for Wrexham on a short-term deal alongside Matty James in the summer window. While James secured an extension on his deal, Bodvarsson has left the club as a free agent after December 31.
