Parkinson is confident that another surge towards the finishing post can be staged, but has said on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Gillingham when asked what he needs to see from his players: “I am frustrated with the goal we conceded but we have got enough to take a bit of ownership in and around that final third. Enough players and not everyone look at the strikers. Whatever position you play on the pitch, when you get in there we have got enough to produce key moments in the game which we haven't produced enough of recently but I am confident we will rediscover that.
“Football is about taking those big moments but we will stick together. It is everybody. Everybody has got to step up a little bit and we will make sure we do. Nothing is dropping for us but you have got to make your own luck in football. We had three-against-one a couple of times in the first half and some of the football we played in our approach play was really good. But everyone knows it is about putting the ball in the back of the net and being clinical when you get in and around that top end of the pitch.”
