Wrexham will aim to cause a major upset on Monday evening when they play Championship side Blackburn in the fourth round of the FA Cup, and will hope to cause a giant-killing. The League Two side know that if they win, they will play Newcastle at home in the fifth round, but Parkinson will not be in the dugout at Ewood Park.

Parkinson was given a yellow card against Newport County, as he raged against the referee's decision to show Will Boyle a straight red card. As a result, due to the accumulation of yellows throughout the season, he has been banned against Blackburn, according to BBC Sport Wales.

Wrexham's best FA Cup finish came in the 1996/97 season, when they reached the quarter-finals. They reached the fourth round last season, where they were beaten by Sheffield United, and will hope to progress to the fifth round at the expense of their Championship opponents on Monday evening.

After their FA Cup sojourn, the Welsh side take on Salford City this weekend in League Two. The club are currently second in the league, five points behind Stockport with a game in hand.
