  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The highly-anticipated 'Hollywood derby' between Tom Brady-owned Birmingham City and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Wrexham ended on a tense note as all 20 outfield players got involved in a brawl following a clash between Alex Cochrane and Paul Mullin in the 80th minute. Wrexham skipper James McClean and Birmingham captain Krystian Bielik, along with Mullin, were booked following the physical confrontation on the pitch.

    Now BBC reports that the FA has found both clubs guilty of provoking violence on the field and accordingly imposed a fine of £3,750 on the Red Dragons, while the Blues will pay the standard penalty of £2,500. The match eventually ended with Birmingham clinching a convincing 3-1 win at St. Andrew's.

    Speaking to BBC, an FA spokesperson said both clubs "admitted that they failed to ensure their players did not behave in an improper and provocative way."
