WHAT HAPPENED?
Raya had to change his kit colour combination just minutes before Arsenal kicked off against Brentford on Saturday. The Spanish custodian wore the club's black away shorts and socks, while the lime green home goalkeeping jersey remained the same. Fans were left baffled by Raya's bizarre kit combination as they reacted on social media.
WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
A fan with the X handle Roman AFC wrote: "Why is David Raya dressed like that??"
Mitch posted on X: "What on earth is David Raya wearing? lol."
A fan named Tom could not figure out why the Gunners goalkeeper came out in the bizarre kit combination as he wrote: "David Raya is sporting a pair of black away shorts today. Can anybody work out why?"
Debaroop wrote: "Why the hell is David Raya wearing the shorts of our away kit?"

Raya was prepared to don the club's regular all-lime green home goalkeeping kit, but as Brentford players wore yellow socks, they were deemed too close to what Raya would have worn. As a result, Arsenal's kit man had to replace the Spaniard's shorts and socks to avoid confusion on the pitch.
GettyWHAT NEXT FOR ARSENAL?
Mikel Arteta's side, who were high on confidence after thrashing Real Madrid 3-0 in midweek, ended up being held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford after Arteta fielded a much-changed starting XI. The Arsenal boss will hope his star players benefit from the rest when they head to Madrid for their Champions League quarter-final second-leg fixture on April 16.
