Viktor Gyokeres set to be the bargain of the summer?! Man Utd & Premier League rivals on red alert as cut-price valuation is revealed despite €100m Sporting CP release clause

Gyokeres has emerged as one of the standout strikers on the continent throughout this season. He scored a hat-trick as Sporting beat Manchester City 4-1 in the Champions League in midweek, to take his tally for the season to 23 strikes in just 17 games. Now, The Telegraph reports that he will be allowed to leave in the summer for around £63m, despite the fact he has a release clause of €100m (£83m/$107m) in his contract.

Gyokeres only cost Sporting £20m ($25m) and as such, a £63m fee would still mark an immense profit. As a result of his potential asking price, there has been interest from Manchester United, who have announced the appointment of Sporting boss Ruben Amorim as their next manager, as well as Chelsea and Arsenal.

Gyokeres played 116 games for Coventry in England, and has also played for Swansea and Brighton. During his time in English football, he scored 45 goals, with 43 of them coming for Coventry.

Amorim alluded to the fact that Gyokeres could potentially leave in the summer at his post-City press conference, and United will surely be monitoring his progress in Portugal. Sporting are next in action against Braga this weekend, in what will be the manager's final game before moving to Old Trafford.
