Foden's hat-trick came from a thunderous strike as he found the back of the net from distance. After initially losing possession at the edge of the box, the England international managed to successfully win the ball back from Callum Chambers before launching a brilliant shot which flew into the top corner.

The hat-trick against the Villans has now taken his Premier League goals tally to 14, which is the most he has scored in a single league campaign. He also joined an exclusive group of players who have 20+ goals and 10+ assists playing in Europe's top five leagues.

The Cityzens will be next seen in action on Saturday as they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League before they shift focus to European football where they take on Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final fixture on April 9.
