  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Burnley were, however, to stage a late rally that saw David Fofana bag a brace – including a 91st-minute equaliser – as they snatched a share of the spoils. Whatever was said inside the dressing room clearly worked, while positive vibes were being sent in the Clarets’ direction from across the Atlantic.

    WHAT JJ WATT SAID

Watt has revealed that he watched the game in the company of his young son, who got invested in the game as he bounced around on the end of a sofa. Watt has said in a social media post that features a video of Koa waving and gurgling in the direction of a widescreen TV: “Koa was NOT pleased with the squad down 2-0. He decided to give them a pep talk. I’m not saying it sparked the comeback, but I’m not not saying it…”

  • WHAT NEXT FOR BURNLEY?

Burnley remain second-from-bottom in the Premier League table. Their latest point has left them seven from safety with 15 games left to play. The Clarets will be back in action on Saturday when taking in a trip to league leaders Liverpool.
