U.S. international Tyler Adams was given the start for Bournemouth in their away contest against Brentford -- his first since last season on March 30, a 2-1 win for The Cherries.
The move is a strong sign of faith from manager Andoni Iraola as Adams has been battling injuries throughout his time at Bournemouth and has been limited to just five appearances for the club since joining in 2023. The 25-year-old finished a months-long recovery following the Copa America and made his return to action as a substitute on Oct. 26.
Adams would end up playing 67 minutes in the match, a 3-2 loss for Bournemouth. The midfielder showed some flashes of his best, with a key pass and was the team leader in tackles(four) and interceptions (two).
