The U.S. men's national team's January camp is a showcase, largely, for MLS players to prove themselves against international competition. USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino will be certainly taking note of Jack McGlynn after the midfielder scored on a world-class strike to put the U.S. up 1-0 against visiting Venezuela in Miami Saturday.

McGlynn was one of the early favorites to make a name for himself at this camp, and the midfielder is certainly doing so in just his second cap for the Americans.
He also is a part of the Union's young core that features other exciting young Americans including Quinn and Cavan Sullivan. Last season, McGlynn had four goals and seven assists in 30 league appearances for Philadelphia.
WHAT NEXT FOR USMNT?
After playing Venezuela Saturday, the USMNT will have another friendly against Costa Rica in Orlando, Florida next Wednesday.
