'Unrecognisable' - Bayern fans let rip with strong message during Celtic clash after Harry Kane & Co are banned from wearing home kits in Champions League

Bayern Munich have not been able to show off their home jersey in the Champions League so far as their traditional red kit's numbers have failed to comply with UEFA's guidelines due to the lack of contrast between the kit's primary colour and the dark maroon tone of the player name and number on the back.

Bayern Munich wore their away kit during the Bavarians' Champions League playoff clash against Celtic in Glasgow and the away fans showed their displeasure with the jersey debacle. Der Rekordmeister fans unfurled a banner during the clash as they voiced their displeasure with Bayern Munich AG, the Bavarians' main shareholders, as fans are unhappy with the home jerseys not being red and white. The banner read: "FCB AG's attitude is like its jerseys: unrecognizable. Even UEFA mafia says: Red-White is the only option."

Bayern Munich were able to secure a 2-1 win against their Scottish rivals in Celtic Park with goals from Harry Kane and Leroy Sane, while Daizen Maeda scored a consolation for the home side.

The Bavarians will have to wear their away kits yet again when they host Celtic at Allianz Arena in the second leg of the Champions League playoff on Tuesday, February 18.
