Unbelievable statistic sums up Man Utd's malaise after disappointing Fulham draw increases pressure on Ruben Amorim

An own goal from Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz handed the Red Devils the lead at Craven Cottage, before midfielder Emile Smith Rowe scored just 94 seconds after coming off the bench to ensure the spoils were shared in west London.

While the result meant United picked up their first league point of the 2025-26 season, a troubling statistic soon emerged after the full-time whistle sounded. Since the start of April, Leicester City - who now play in the Championship following last season's relegation from the Premier League - have earned more top-flight points (8) than United's six. Amorim's side have also amassed fewer points than all other ever-present Premier League sides in that same period.

United, who finished 15th in what was their lowest ever finish in the Premier League in 2024-25, have spent big on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko this summer, but it has been a slow start to the campaign for Amorim's new-look attack as they continue to search for their first competitive goals for the club.

Next up for United is an away trip to Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. The Old Trafford club will then go in search of their first league victory of the season when they host Burnley on August 30.
