  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The striker has been ruled out of Sunday's Premier League clash against Everton, but is expected to miss more matches, the Daily Mail reports.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The 27-year-old England international is the latest injury blow suffered by Ange Postecoglou's side, who are already without the likes of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, defenders Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie, midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur and forward Timo Werner among others, all out with fitness troubles.

    Solanke has scored 11 times in all competitions this season and is expected to be replaced by Richarlison for the clash at Goodison Park this weekend. The Brazilian forward recovered from a hamstring injury to feature for the last 15 minutes of the midweek clash against Arsenal and would be coming up against his former side if Postecoglou gives him the nod on Sunday.

    Spurs will hope that Solanke is fit again soon as they are caught in an injury crisis. Tottenham have fallen to 15th in the Premier League having taken just one point from their last five matches and will be desperate for a win against the Toffees in Solanke's absence.
