    McClean took to Instagram after the game to have pop at the travelling Rotherham support. A picture of the Ireland international celebrating the victory was captioned: “Rotherham fans stink of p*ss, came to the racecourse and got dismissed“.

    All jokes aside, this was an importantwin for the Red Dragons. They now sit level on points with second-place Wycombe Wanderers after their 1-1 draw away at Peterborough. The Chairboys remain in second place thanks to their superiors goal difference.

    This isn't the first time McClean has taken a shot at a rival club this season. In January, former Premier League referee Keith Hackett called on McClean to make a public apology after he called Shrewsbury a "cesspit full of inbreds". The 35-year-old and his team-mates had been pelted by objects thrown by the crowd during a feisty 1-0 win for the Red Dragons in the third round of the FA Cup.
