  • United looking to add competition up top
  • Guirassy would prefer move to Spurs
  • United turn attention to En-Nesyri
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

According to The Sun, the in-form Guirassy has little intention to make a January switch from Stuttgart to United. The Guinean striker has been linked with United, who are struggling for goals this season, but it appears unlikely he will move to the red side of Manchester. A move to the Premier League is not ruled out however, with Guirassy reportedly interested in joining Spurs.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Guirassy has been in impressive form for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga this season, propelling them from mid-table candidates to Champions League chasers. With United's forwards suffering a dearth of goals, even with £72 million ($92m) Rasmus Hojlund up-front, Guirassy appeared to be a possible solution. Yet, the likelihood of a transfer being completed decreases by the day with increased competition for the striker's signature.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Despite his rampant goalscoring, Guirassy has a release clause of just €17.5 million (£15m/$19m). Whoever is able to win Guirassy's signature will sign an inform striker in a bargain deal.
