Revealed: Why Harry Maguire will miss Man Utd's pre-season tour as Red Devils head to U.S. for Premier League Summer Series

Ruben Amorim has selected a 32-man group to represent United on their American pre-season tour, reflecting a blend of fresh acquisitions, returning stars, and promising youth talent. The club is set to participate in the Premier League's Summer Series, which will take place across the Atlantic.

Two marquee signings, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, are part of the travelling contingent. Mbeumo was officially unveiled just a day before the flight after his high-profile £71 million ($96m) switch from Brentford. Cunha, who joined United from Wolverhampton Wanderers last month in a £62.5m ($84m) deal, is also present despite recently welcoming his second child.

Lisandro Martinez has been included in the list of players headed to the United States; however, fans shouldn’t expect to see him in action anytime soon. The Argentine defender is still recovering from injury and is not yet fit to train fully or participate in match action as he continues rehabilitation.

Several senior players have been left out of the pre-season trip, including Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, often dubbed the "bomb squad" due to their peripheral status, have all remained in the UK. Marcus Rashford, another high-profile absentee, is not with the squad either. The winger is in Spain finalising a loan move to Barcelona.

Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Tyler Fredricson, Ayden Heaven, Diego Leon, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui, Reece Munro, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Toby Collyer, Bruno Fernandes, Jack Fletcher, Sekou Kone, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Manuel Ugarte.

Forwards: Amad, Matheus Cunha, Rasmus Hojlund, Bendito Mantato, Bryan Mbeumo, Chido Obi, Ethan Williams, Joshua Zirkzee.

United will play their first match in the Premier League Summer Series against West Ham at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey next Saturday.
