Revealed: Kylian Mbappe has 'many doubts' over Real Madrid transfer with PSG expecting final decision from star forward in 'coming days' as they hold back new contract offer

The World Cup-winning France international is yet to decide where he will be playing his football in 2024-25. A contract extension option at Paris Saint-Germain is yet to be triggered, meaning that the 25-year-old forward continues to head towards free agency.

That situation is keeping La Liga giants Real keen, as they have held long-standing interest in Mbappe. An offer from Spain has been put to PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer, but those terms – said to be worth no more than €30 million (£26m/$32m) a year – would be less than half of what could be earned if committing to at least one more season in the French capital.

According to AS, Mbappe now has “many doubts” about leaving his homeland. He is the undisputed star attraction at Parc des Princes – with Lionel Messi and Neymar gone – and will be placed at the centre of all future plans in Paris.

It is claimed that no new deal has been put to Mbappe by PSG, as they wait to discover whether such talks are worth their time, with a player many consider to be a Ballon d’Or winner of the future promising his current employers, and many suitors elsewhere, that a decision on his future will be made in the “coming days”.
