    THE BIGGER PICTURE

As per Marca, Los Blancos approached the mercurial French star in the first week of January to find out if he was still interested in joining them next season. Once they got verbal consent from the player, the club entered into contractual talks with him and his mother and agent Fayza Lamari. The report further claimed that the Spanish giants are planning to unveil Mbappe in front of their fans in July.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The Ligue 1 champions have been trying to convince the 25-year-old to put pen to paper on a new contract since the beginning of the 2023/24 season. Signing a new deal would have prevented him from leaving the club in the summer of 2024 for free. The France captain, though, refused to sign the dotted lines and has now informed his colleagues that he would be leaving as a free agent.
