    Per The Athletic, City are set to appoint French as a set-piece coach and analyst. He formerly worked at Liverpool for 13 years, having been appointed in 2012, but is now set to move to the Etihad as Pep Guardiola reshapes his backroom staff.

    City are also set to bring in Pep Lijnders as Guardiola's new assistant manager. The 42-year-old worked at Anfield for over nine years and was Jurgen Klopp's assistant during an era of unprecedented modern success at Anfield.
