WHAT SCHOLES SAID

<p>Mainoo has been the breakout star for Manchester United in a rather dull season and has rightly earned  praise from stars and fans alike. It was his goal against Manchester City that gave the side the two-goal cushion which saw the Red Devils secure a second trophy in two years under Erik ten Hag.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Manchester United duo will likely have very differing futures ahead of them with Amrabat's stay at set to come to an end as the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/manchester-united-to-cut-ties-sofyan-amrabat/bltf664c6e4754e3f49" target="_blank">Red Devils are not expected to sign the midfielder permanently</a>. Meanwhile, Mainoo is expected to go ahead and become a mainstay at Old Trafford.</p>
