Madueke returned to the Chelsea lineup in the midweek against Southampton after being dropped from the starting XI against Aston Villa in their previous game. On his return, Madueke starred with a goal and an assist as the Blues registered a thumping 5-1 win over the Saints and reduced their gap with league leaders Liverpool on the points table.
Speaking to reporters, the Blues star said: "Maresca is honest and truthful. He tells the truth and he is a man you can trust. That’s all you want from a coach. He is a coach who is straight with everyone and fair to everyone. That’s what you need at a top club like Chelsea."
