'Nauseating ingrates!' - Simon Jordan takes brutal dig at Manchester City fans who protested ticket price rises

Manchester City announced this week that they are freezing season ticket prices for the 2025-26 season following a backlash from supporters. Fans had previously protested planned rises, with the club sitting in sixth in the Premier League table.

Manchester City fans staged a protest at the start of the recent Premier League game against Leicester City, delaying their entry into the Etihad Stadium for nine minutes. This was in response to a proposed price hike for season tickets for the 2025-26 campaign. TalkSport pundit and former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has previously been vocal on the subject of fan protests at the Etihad, and has once again taken a swipe at the Etihad faithful.

Jordan told talkSPORT: “So have we witnessed a clear win for those entitled, nauseating ingrates? I maintain the view that they are nauseating ingrates. And if they’ve managed to get the season ticket prices surrendered or frozen, that’s a different argument. I’d have no issue with that. But that wasn’t the question that was put to me.

“They have a tendency, Man City, to back down whenever they get put some pressure under as an ownership. In this instance, if they wanted to put season ticket prices up there must be a good reason for it. They’ve suddenly decided to be benevolent again and give it back to the fans? Then up to them."

City face Crystal Palace on Saturday. They then face Everton the following weekend.
