‘Are you sure?’ - Name confusion amuses Alisha Lehmann as Juventus forward reacts to spelling mistake from Italian broadcasters

The Switzerland international was back in action on Saturday when lining up against Lazio. She was handed a starting berth in that contest, with Juve coach Massimiliano Canzi asking the 25-year-old – who often operates on the flanks – to lead the line.

Lehmann, who has been joined in Turin by her Brazilian boyfriend Douglas Luiz, failed to add to her goal account when being deployed in a keenly-fought contest that eventually saw Juve pick up all three points in a 2-1 win.

Lehmann was replaced in the second half, with Sofia Cantore – who went on to net the match winner – introduced in her place. DAZN, who were covering the game for television audiences, mistakenly referred to the Swiss as ‘Aliscia’ in their substitution graphic.

The former Aston Villa star has seen the funny side of that error, while kindly offering a reminder of how her name should be spelt. Juve, who sit at the top of the Serie A table with nine points picked up from three games, will be back in action on Thursday when facing Mary Earps and Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier.
