Breath of fresh air! Morgan Rogers hailed for 'completely different' interview after Bayern Munich win as Aston Villa star reveals the truth about Cole Palmer celebration

Unai Emery's Aston Villa have been doing wonders over the last two seasons and they may have reached yet another peak after beating German giants Bayern Munich 1-0 thanks to Jhon Duran's second-half winner. After the win, Rogers, who has been very influential to Emery's side this season, gave an interview with TNT Sports, praising Emery's influence on his rise as a player. Fans are now in awe of the midfielder's well-spoken showing in front of the cameras.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Rogers said: "It's about having good people around you, being patient and knowing your time will come. Luckily I've found a manager who trusted and believed in me. When I came here he kind of took me under his wing and tried to improve me. I'm only getting better and better and it's thanks to him.

"I was maybe a little bit in my shell when I first came, just trying to fit in, but he tells me to take touches on the ball, to drive, to commit. Most of the time he's telling me off for passing too early. He wants me to show what I'm about, so he just gives me confidence and belief in my abilities to go and show what I can do. I'm not always going to get it right, but I have a manager who is trusting me and behind me."

During the interview, Rogers also revealed that Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who is also his good friend, stole the iconic 'Cold' celebration from him.

When asked if Palmer stole his celebration, Rogers replied: “Yeah, it’s true. He’s a cheeky boy isn’t he? He’s run with it.”

The Aston Villa star added: “I’ll let him have it. He’s scored 40 goals or something stupid, I can’t really argue with that can I?”

Villa are indeed soaring high in confidence under Emery as they gave Bayern Munich their first Champions League group stage defeat in 41 matches.

Aston Villa and Rogers' next match will be yet another difficult one as they are set to take on a Manchester United side that are up against the ropes. The two sides will meet at Villa Park on Sunday, October 6.
