Monaco are relishing every moment that striker Mika Biereth spends on the pitch, as the England-born forward has already scored in double figures in Ligue 1, including three hat-tricks, in his first seven games. Arsenal must be regretting letting him go for just £4 million, but Les Rouges et Blanc went a step further by engaging in Twitter banter, posting a photo of Biereth with the caption "Gunners on fire."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Biereth joined Arsenal's youth academy from Fulham in the summer of 2021 before spending a season on loan at RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie. Another loan move followed, as the young striker was acquired by Motherwell for the first half of the 2023-24 season. Biereth spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Sturm Graz, before permanently signing for them for just £4 million. In January 2025, Monaco completed his signing for just €13 million, and the rest is history, at least until now.
