Mohamed Salah is reportedly set to sensationally stay at Liverpool, ending his contract stalemate with the Reds.
Per Foot Mercato, Salah is set to sign a new two-year contract at Liverpool to bring an end to intense speculation over his future. The Egypt international's deal was scheduled to expire in the summer, but he is now on the verge of putting pen to paper and extending his stay on Merseyside to over a decade, having arrived from Roma in 2017.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Salah had been linked with a blockbuster free transfer in the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabian clubs said to have expressed their interest. However, it appears he will instead remain at Anfield, extending a trophy-laden stay. He has already won the Premier League and the Champions League, and with the Reds nine points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand at the top of the table, he is about to become a two-time English champion.
DID YOU KNOW?
While the agreement has not yet been reached, the finer details are said to be all that remains for Liverpool and Salah to iron out. In the meantime, the Reds may also be working on Virgil van Dijk's contract, which is also due to expire this summer. Trent Alexander-Arnold, however, appears destined for Real Madrid.
