'I didn't expect him to be this good!' - Mohamed Salah makes admission over Liverpool boss Arne Slot after succeeding Jurgen Klopp

Salah has been in electric form under Slot this season as Liverpool have stormed to the top of the Premier League table. Salah has scored 17 goals and registered 13 assists in just 18 games, with the Reds six points clear of second-placed Arsenal.

Salah has now admitted that he has been left shocked by Slot's ability after he replaced Jurgen Klopp. The German won the Premier League title once in his tenure at Anfield, but Slot has the chance to win it in his maiden campaign.

Per Fabrizio Romano, he told TNT Sports: "Before I worked with Arne Slot, I didn’t expect he was this good… then we started working and I’m not surprised at all! He’s great with details, great with small things, doesn’t have ego when he makes a mistake… he’s great on tactics."

Liverpool will aim to make a statement against United this weekend. A win could see them move nine points clear of Arsenal. It remains to be seen if Salah will be at Anfield next season, however, as he has hinted at this being his "final year" on Merseyside.
