Liverpool talisman Salah's goal drought continued as the Egyptian has now failed to score in his last five outings across all competitions. The 32-year-old missed a big chance in the second half as the Premier League title favourites went down 3-2 against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Salah, who at one point in the 2024-25 campaign was being touted as a strong contender to win the Ballon d'Or this year, has seen a sudden dip in his form. Reds boss Arne Slot, however, came to the attacker's defence as he showed his trust in the player.

  • WHAT ARNE SLOT SAID

Speaking on BBC MOTD, the Dutch coach said, "Maybe he should see it as a compliment [that people are talking about it] because his numbers were not normal [when he was scoring]. The good thing about Mo is he knows what kind of player he is. Mo will show up again, I don't worry about that."
