'Maybe I can rest Kylian' - Luis Enrique jokes about what it will take to leave Mbappe out of Champions League clash with Barcelona

While talking on his Twitch channel, the former Barcelona and current PSG boss responded to one of his subscribers as to how many Twitch subs it would take to play Mbappe as the centre-back against Barcelona during the two clubs' highly-anticipated Champions League quarter-final clash. Enrique joked that if someone donated '2-3 million' to the Xana Foundation charity, he would bench the French superstar altogether.

Speaking on his Twitch, Enrique said [via @BarcaUniversal on X]: "How many subs to play Mbappe as the centre-back? Not subs, but donate €4m or €5m to this charity foundation and maybe I can rest Kylian. Send me the invoice!"

Enrique took to the popular streaming website after announcing the inauguration of the Xana Foundation, named after his late daughter, who died at the age of nine after battling cancer. The charity's main goal is to raise awareness and funds for children in their battle with cancer.

As for the Mbappe situation, the Spaniard and the Frenchman have not had the best of relationships over the last couple of months. The soreness in their relations started after Mbappe all but confirmed his move to Real Madrid in the summer, which prompted Enrique to drop the Frenchman to the bench multiple times.

It's unlikely that Enrique will drop his main differencemaker for the crucial two legs against Barcelona on April 10 and April 16. Despite their differences, Enrique will surely put aside his reasons to not start the World Cup winner.
