Mauro Icardi gets a black eye for Christmas! Galatasaray star shows off bruise after collision with goalpost in draw with Fenerbahce - and Wanda Nara has a shiner too!

The striker was in action in the Super Lig clash against Fenerbahce and he went face-first into the goalpost after challenging for the ball in the box. There were also claims that he took a hit to the face from a Fenerbahce player and may have been scraped by an opponent's boot after going down in another incident. Afterwards, the forward posted pictures on Instagram as he posed with his wife and kids. He obviously took the hit in good humour as Wanda had given herself a black eye with makeup for one of the images.

As well as matching eye bruises, the couple were sporting identical pyjamas as they wished their followers all the best for the festive period, with the caption: "Merry Christmas to all. We wish you from Istanbul, Health Peace and much Love."

The 0-0 draw between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray keeps the Super Lig airtight! The teams remain level at the top of the table on 44 points from 17 games, with Fenerbahce taking a slight lead on goal difference. Gala star Icardi and Fenerbahce striker Edin Dzeko are also level at the top of the league's goal charts, having scored 12 each.

The two teams will go head-to-head yet again on December 29 when they meet in the Turkish Super Cup. There will then be a break in the Turkish league, with Galatasaray's following game coming on January 7 against Konyaspor.
