Mason Greenwood’s fine form continues! Man Utd loanee rounds goalkeeper and finishes coolly to score for Getafe - but is helpless in eventual draw against Las Palmas

The Manchester United loanee capitalized on Diego Rico's long pass to find the net after just 14 minutes, following Jaime Mata's early goal that put Getafe in the lead.

Greenwood timed his run to perfection to beat the high line and remained composed in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper Alvaro Valles to round him and slot the ball into an empty net.

It was end-to-end action as the visitors seemed to find a spring in their step after falling behind by two goals. Sandro Ramirez pulled one back for Las Palmas before halftime but Nemanja Maksimovic extended Getafe's lead before the break. However, their joy was short-lived as the opponents scored twice in quick succession in the second half through Sergi Cardona and former Barcelona player Munir El Haddadi to snatch a point from the Geta Azulones.

Greenwood's goal against Las Palmas marked his eighth since joining Getafe. Given his impressive form, Sir Jim Ratcliffe suggested that he is ready to welcome him back at Old Trafford. However, it has been reported that the 22-year-old may not have a strong desire to return to his parent club due to a perceived lack of support during his hard days.

Greenwood would hope to continue his impressive run in the upcoming fixtures against Valencia and high-flying Girona before the international break sets in later this month.
