That is according to <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/mason-greenwood-getafe-manchester-united-3v2kzw778 " target="_blank">The Times</a>, who report that discussions regarding the 22-year-old’s future will soon be opened with the Madrid-based team. Getafe, who have seen Greenwood impress while on their books in 2023-24, intend to form part of that process.

United are <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-deadline-mason-greenwood-future-sir-jim-ratcliffe-barcelona-getafe-loan/blta90e48169aeca666#cs1cbdb99719f84636" target="_blank">expected to sanction another switch for Greenwood</a> in the summer window, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/why-mason-greenwood-will-return-man-utd-decision-getafe-loanee-future-barcelona-atletico-madrid/blt91ea8f1a94988436" target="_blank">leaving a return door open at Old Trafford</a>, with a fresh start being embraced by the one-cap England international.

There is willingness on their part to discuss a permanent deal, according to The Times, although another loan agreement is considered to be the simpler solution.
