<p>After being left out of the England squad for the clashes against Greece and Ireland, Rashford travelled to the United States and was in attendance as the New York Knicks faced the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA Cup. <p>Rashford's presence at the basketball match sparked an angry reaction from United fans, with <a href="https://x.com/BudHill4ever/status/1857617012161179670" target="_blank">@BudHill4ever</a> summing up the mood by replying: "What a clown".</p><p>"I dunno man seeing a player enjoying himself while putting in sub par performances week in week out is the same as seeing the dude who owes you cash splashing out in the club," said <a href="https://x.com/United_Beanz/status/1857726568509931621" target="_blank">@United_Beanz</a>.</p><p>X user <a href="https://x.com/Atankpa520879/status/1857717390793994508" target="_blank">@Atankpa520879</a> added: "Instead of him to be on the grass running and working on his shooting he’s outside in New York watching a basketball game."</p><p>"Why is he not in training?" asked <a href="https://x.com/peanut111822/status/1857662846751924355" target="_blank">@peanut111822</a>, while <a href="https://x.com/SullayJr/status/1857621524280193412" target="_blank">@SullayJr</a> said: "Imagine how crap he has been instead of training getting ready for [Ruben] Amorim he's busy watching basketball... <p>Rashford was treated to an entertaining match as Jalen Brunson scored a three-pointer with six seconds left to secure a 124-122 victory for the Knicks. Rashford was delighted to get a signed jersey from the star, as he wrote on an Instagram post: "Great game, Jalen. Thanks for the [Knicks] jersey.
