This has made it crystal clear, in the eyes of many, that United simply cannot have Onana and Bayindir in goal for the club this season. If they stay put, their campaign could have dire consequences.

United, who have been urged to re-sign former keeper David de Gea by club legend Rio Ferdinand, have been linked with a move for Antwerp stopper Senne Lammens. However, they now face competition from Galatasaray to secure his signature.
